Australian Mines (ASX: AUZ) has achieved  strong monthly production results for July and August  of 332 contained nickel tonnes at the 100%-owned Blair Mine, located 32 kms from Kalgoorlie in W.A

 

The September quarter production to date of 332 contained nickel tonnes came from crushing 11,160 tonnes at a grade of 2.97% ni and was achieved from accessing high grade ore in the E & C shoots in Blair Deeps.

 

Commenting on the result, Chief Operating Officer Brett Young said, “Following on the back of strong June quarter production, Blair is on track for strong September quarterly production.

 

The company recently upgraded and rationalised its underground mobile equipment fleet which will also reduce maintenance costs going forward.

 

Importantly these production results and the recent reduction in site capital costs, will reduce the unit costs of production.”
