Assay Results from Massive Nickel Sulphide Intersection at Blair
Australian Mines (ASX: AUZ) is pleased to announce assay results from the resources definition drilling below current workings at Blair nickel mine and previously reported on 15 June.
The result from underground hole AMUG175 is 9.25m @ 12.5% Ni from 88.1m to 97.35m (down hole) of massive nickel sulphides.
The intersection, on the C01 lode at the 395mRL, confirms continuity of the nickel shoot structure at Blair and appears to coincide with a shallowing of the normally steep plunge.
Further drilling is currently in progress to confirm the nickel resources down to the 380mRL (50 metres below the current workings) with results expected to be announced before 30 June 2006.
