Appointment of Director and Initial Director’s Interest Notice

The Company wishes to advise that Mr. Brett Young has been appointed as an Executive Director of Australian Mines Limited, effective 17th October 2005.

Mr Young has extensive experience gained over 25 years in senior management positions with mining companies both in operational and corporate positions as commercial manager, finance manager or company secretary. He is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Recently Mr Young has been in the position of Chief Operating Officer for Australian Mines Limited. He will retain the position as Company Secretary.

The Directors would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mr. Young to the board.
